5 Charging

​

a. Your Q1 contains a battery that needs to be charged regularly and that will discharge with use. Familiarise yourself with its charge and discharge times. Q1 incorporates a light sensor that switches on the ride light function, in turn consuming more energy during dark periods.

b. Charge Q1 by connecting its charging port to a 5V USB Supply using the supplied micro-USB cable.

c. Never charge your Q1 when it is wet, or in wet or humid conditions.

d. Remove the charging cable from the light and store or stow away the cable safely before cycling.

e. Ensure the rubber bung that seals the Charging Port is refitted and seated correctly after each charge.

f. Charge your Q1 sufficiently for each trip.

g. To extend battery life, fully charge the battery at least once per month.

 

6 Mounting

a. Mount the remote control in an easily accessible location, comfortable to operate and where it can be securely fastened.

​

b. The remote control L symbol must be mounted to the left hand side and the light mounted with the iLB logo the correct way up. Check that pressing L causes the indicator segments to light on the left of the light unit, when viewed from the rear.

​

c. Do not operate the remote control if it is dangerous to do so or if in doing so, control of the bicycle would be affected.

​

d. The light must be very securely attached with the strap pulled tight or mounted using cable ties.

​

e. Mount the light in a location clearly visible from the rear and not where it may become obscured, for example by bags, accessories or clothing.

​

f. The unit is designed to be water resistant if used correctly. Preferably, mount the light in a manner to protect it from spray through the use of a suitable mudguard.

​

g. Check that the light unit and remote are securely fastened prior to each cycle.

 

7 Care

​

a. Wipe the lens with a soft, clean, dry cloth.

​

b. Wipe the light unit body with a soft, clean, dry cloth to ensure that the light sensor and sounder are not obscured.

​

c. If the remote control no longer controls the smart tail light, it may be neccessary to repeat the pairing process described in '4 Pairing Q1 with remote'.

​

d. Do not jet wash the smart light or remote control.

​

8 General Points of Note

​

a. Read this Manual.

​

b. Retain this Manual for reference.

​

c. Q1 is NOT a brake light, it detects deceleration in certain scenarios. The stop light will not illuminate when applying brakes when already stationary.

​

d. The indicators will cancel after a particular degree and duration of turning.

​

e. Familiarise yourself with the functioning of your Q1, for example by trialing it in a location within eyesight.

​

f. Do not cycle in the dark without lights.

​

g. Always obey the laws and code of conduct for cycling applicable to the country in which you are cycling. Use of Q1 does not remove the need for hand signals and proper observations, for example.

​

h. Ensure that any legally required parts, such as rear reflectors are in place on your cycle.

​

i. Be aware of other vehicle users or pedestrians around you.

​

j. Check Q1 correct operation before each ride.

​

9 Warranty

​

a. Thank you for purchasing your Q1 Smart Light.

​

b. This guarantee provides you with free repairs of your Q1, including parts, postage and labour, for up to 12 months. You are responsible for the cost of your own labour.

​

c. Should you experience a problem please visit www.threesixtystore.eu to be advised a course of action. If this does not fix the problem, it may be neccessary to return the Q1 for repair by prior written authorisation.

​

d. Should we deem the Q1 beyond repair, a replacement will be provided.

​

e. This warranty does not apply to cosmetic damage, such as scratches, cracks or wears and tear or to inability to meet the performance stated here or to abuse, unauthorised maintenance or any conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship.

f. The Q1 One-Year Limited Warranty is a voluntary manufacturer's warranty. It provides rights separate to rights provided by consumer law. You have the right to choose whether to claim service under the Q1 One-Year Limited Warranty or under consumer law rights.
